Description
Hobart and William Smith Colleges’ Faculty Professional Development Funds reimburse eligible faculty for costs associated with professional development during each academic year. Administered by the Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs (OAFA), the program supports activities including travel to attend conferences. Faculty use the funds through their Academic Coordinators, with reimbursement supported by receipts and a faculty travel report.
The program is part of OAFA’s effort to provide more equitable access to faculty funding by encouraging use of established funding sources rather than individualized requests. Support is available on an ongoing basis, subject to available funds. Professional development requests exceeding the program’s annual limit are directed to the separate annual Faculty Research Grants call.
