Description
The Faculty Research Accelerator Program, part of the University of Notre Dame’s Naughton Fellowships, supports research collaborations between Notre Dame and leading research universities in Ireland. It aims to advance excellent research in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and cognitive science while strengthening ties between participating institutions and between Ireland and the United States.
The program supports joint research and travel to develop new collaborative research programs. Research excellence, deep cross-institutional participation, involvement of graduate students or postdoctoral trainees, and the potential for sustained collaboration guide funding decisions. Projects are expected to build a foundation for continued collaborative STEM research and lead to an external grant application.
