Description
Faculty Research Grants at Hobart and William Smith Colleges support faculty research proposals through the Committee on Faculty Research and Honors. The Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs (OAFA) publishes funding information and encourages faculty to use the program as part of its effort to provide greater equity in funding and move away from individualized requests.
The program offers two calls serving different research needs. The primary spring call considers larger proposals, while the additional fall call uses a smaller funding pool to support new opportunities that may have arisen since May. OAFA also directs faculty seeking professional development support beyond its separate annual allowance to the Faculty Research Grants call.
