Description
Oklahoma NASA EPSCoR’s Faculty Research Initiation Fellowships support faculty research experiences in residence at NASA Centers. Fellows become involved in NASA research, contribute to work that assists NASA, and build lasting relationships with NASA colleagues. The program aims to bring that experience back to universities for future proposals, sustained collaborations, and classroom use.
The fellowships emphasize new NASA research collaborations rather than extensions of existing or previously funded work. Alongside Traditional Research Initiation Grants (RIG), they help prepare researchers to pursue larger, longer-term Research Implementation grants. Proposed research should relate to the NASA Strategic Plan and NASA interest areas, with a relevant NASA collaborator hosting the fellow and describing the anticipated work.
