Description
Oklahoma NASA EPSCoR’s Faculty Research Initiation Fellowships (RIF) fund intensive research experiences for faculty working alongside researchers at NASA Centers. The program aims to start new collaborations—not extend funded work—and help faculty bring NASA research experience back to their universities for future proposals, collaborations, and classroom use.
Projects must connect to NASA priorities and help build sustainable NASA-relevant research capacity in Oklahoma. The fellowships are also intended to develop long-term relationships with NASA Centers and Mission Directorates and prepare faculty to pursue larger NASA EPSCoR Research Implementation opportunities. RIF and Traditional Research Initiation Grants (RIG) are selected in the same competition.
