Description
The Wyoming NASA Space Grant Consortium offers Faculty Research Initiation Grants to help new faculty establish research programs and established faculty pursue significantly new research directions. Early-career faculty are especially encouraged to apply. Projects must be nationally competitive and align with National Space Grant goals and the strategic missions of one or more NASA Mission Directorates.
The grants are intended to strengthen future proposals to agencies including NASA and the National Science Foundation. Supported research is expected to lead to a refereed-journal publication and/or a proposal to another funding agency. Recipients are also expected to present their research on campus; presentations at national scientific meetings are encouraged.
