    Description

The Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame offers Faculty Visiting Fellowships to junior and senior academics pursuing international research related to global democracy. Part of a residential visiting fellowship program established in 1983, these competitive appointments give scholars time to advance personal research and collaborate with scholars and practitioners from the United States and around the world.

Fellows contribute to Notre Dame’s intellectual community through research presentations, weekly seminars, lectures, and other Kellogg events. The competition emphasizes the importance and originality of proposed research, its relationship to global democracy, and its significance within and beyond the applicant’s field. Research design, clarity for readers outside the applicant’s discipline, and the work achievable during the fellowship are also central considerations.
