This award is designed to support medical students interested in academic surgery by enabling them to attend the Association for Academic Surgery (AAS) Fall Courses. Recipients receive early-bird registration for the Fundamentals of Surgical Research Course, participate in a breakfast coffee chat with AAS academic surgeons, and are presented with an award certificate. The program aims to provide networking opportunities, exposure to career development sessions, and early engagement with leaders in academic surgery.
