Description
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services’ Division of Care and Treatment Services is funding implementation of Family Centered Treatment-Recovery (FCT-R). The model combines evidence-based Family Centered Treatment with substance use treatment practices to address substance misuse, family dynamics, and trauma. It serves parents and caregivers with opioid or other substance use disorders or mental health conditions, alongside their children and family members.
Funding supports intensive services in homes and communities, including family-system interventions, trauma treatment, peer professional support, random drug screening, and contingency management. Awardees will train and work toward certification with the Family Centered Treatment Foundation, coordinate referrals across family-serving systems, and track treatment and family outcomes. The program aims to improve family functioning and treatment engagement while reducing symptoms and the need for out-of-home placements.
