Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services funds Family Support Programs through the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL), Bureau of Early Intervention Services and Family Supports. This opportunity seeks qualified applicants to implement community-based, high-quality evidence-based home visiting (EBHV) services throughout the Commonwealth. Statewide geographic coverage is a central priority, with DHS seeking to maintain at least one Family Support program in each of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties.
EBHV programs are designed to improve family health, increase school readiness and success, improve economic well-being, prevent child abuse and neglect, and promote positive parenting. Home visiting connects pregnant and new caregivers with nurses, mental health clinicians, parent educators, and other trained professionals who provide support in families’ homes or other natural learning environments.
