--- ## Description The FAMOUS Travel Grants are offered by the American Astronomical Society (AAS) to support its members in attending Society meetings, with a particular focus on increasing participation from astronomers belonging to groups historically underrepresented in the field. The grant is designed to help offset expenses related to travel, meals, and lodging for recipients who are presenting their research at an AAS meeting. While all AAS members are eligible to apply, priority is given to minorities, scientists at small colleges, non-traditional students, veterans, and others from underrepresented backgrounds.
