Description
The Vermont Agency of Agriculture Food and Markets administers this competitive grant to help Vermont schools and early childhood providers establish, strengthen, and expand farm to school and farm to early childhood programs. Its central priority is integration across the classroom, cafeteria, and community—the “3 C’s” of Farm to School and Early Childhood—rather than work confined to just one setting.
The grant is part of the Vermont Farm to School and Early Childhood Program, authorized through the Rozo Mclaughlin Farm-to-School Program Act of 2006. Funding comes from an annual State of Vermont legislative appropriation and supports coordinated programming across these three settings.
