Description
The Farmland Restoration, Climate Resiliency & Preparedness (RRP) Grant, administered by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture, aims to increase the climate resilience of Connecticut’s farming operations. The program offers two main opportunities: (1) grants to agricultural and conservation organizations for the development of Farmland Restoration and Climate Resiliency (FRCR) Plans for farmers, and (2) direct funding to farmers for both plan development and implementation of climate-smart agricultural practices. The overarching goal is to equip more farms with comprehensive resiliency plans, support adoption of sustainable practices, and streamline future access to state and federal climate adaptation resources.
