    Description

FASEB Fellows for the Future is a 12-month cohort-based program run by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. It supports early-career researchers from historically excluded groups who want to become change agents within scientific societies. Funded by the National Science Foundation’s Leading Culture Change through Professional Societies of Biology (BIO-LEAPS) program, it addresses barriers to professional development, leadership participation, and cultural integration.

Fellows receive mentorship, leadership training, and sponsored participation in society events. The program helps participants advocate for governance changes and develop skills in meeting facilitation, conflict resolution, association operations, and visionary and strategic leadership. A virtual community connects fellows with mentors and peers, while society events and FASEB-hosted gatherings provide opportunities to build networks in inclusive, accessible environments.
