This fellowship is a collaborative initiative between the FDA Oncology Center of Excellence, the American Statistical Association (ASA), and the ASA’s Biopharmaceutical Statistics Section. It offers advanced, immersive training for statistics and biostatistics graduate students and postdoctoral fellows interested in oncology drug development and regulatory science. Participants engage in eight online sessions, each three hours long, spanning topics such as clinical trials in oncology, adaptive and Bayesian designs, subgroup analyses, and the evolving roles of statisticians in regulatory settings. The program aims to deepen participants’ understanding of the intersection between statistical science and oncology drug development, with emphasis on both methodological and regulatory considerations.
