Description
The Vermont Housing and Conservation Board’s Project Feasibility Fund helps applicants answer whether an individual project is feasible before moving to implementation. It pays for contracted predevelopment services such as appraisals, financial evaluation, site planning, market and energy studies, septic testing, and environmental analysis. VHCB staff evaluate requests.
For housing projects, the fund supports early analysis within VHCB’s affordable housing work. Most homes VHCB funds serve households earning between 30% and 80% of area median income, and legal covenants secure their permanent affordability. The feasibility policy also provides grants for conservation projects involving natural areas, agriculture, or historic preservation.
