Description
The Vermont Housing and Conservation Board (VHCB) provides Feasibility Funds to support preliminary work and analysis for individual housing and conservation projects. The program helps grantees assess feasibility and bring projects to the development stage, rather than funding development itself. Eligible work includes appraisals, engineering and environmental studies, options, energy assessments, marketing studies, and other pre-development expenses.
The awards support contracted services associated with this preparatory work. The program reflects VHCB’s emphasis on lasting benefits for Vermonters: applicants must demonstrate long-term benefit through deed restrictions or other mechanisms that ensure the funding has a lasting effect. Conservation applicants may request a grant of up to $10,000 for a single project.
