Description
The Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) uses the Federal Excess Personal Property (FEPP) and Firefighter Property (FFP) programs to obtain federal property for its emergency response mission and make it available to fire departments. The program puts existing equipment and supplies to work in fire protection while helping reduce state fire budgets.
Available property includes trucks, fire tools, hoses, vehicle parts, nozzles, generators, air compressors, fire protection clothing, aircraft, and aircraft parts. FEPP property is loaned through the USDA Forest Service to state foresters for wildland and rural firefighting. FFP provides excess Department of Defense property for firefighting and emergency services.
