    Description

The Fellow rank of the American Association for Anatomy (FAAA) honors distinguished members whose achievements combine excellence in science, contributions to the anatomical sciences, and service to the association. Outstanding scholarship may be demonstrated through research or teaching. This is an honorary recognition of accomplishments rather than a program supporting proposed research projects.

Candidates are reviewed by a group selected from the Fellows Circle, with final recommendations submitted to the AAA Board for approval. The review considers each candidate’s scientific achievements, broader contributions to the field, and involvement in AAA. Recipients join the Fellows Circle and receive a certificate and pin at the Closing Awards Ceremony at the Annual Meeting.
