Description
The Fellows Travel Award, sponsored by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), recognizes outstanding scientific abstracts submitted by Ph.D. or M.D. researchers enrolled in fellowship programs. The ASM Microbe Program Committee selects recipients whose research advances one of the conference’s three interconnected meetings: ASM Health, ASM Applied & Environmental Microbiology, or ASM Mechanism Discovery.
The award supports participation in ASM Microbe 2027 through travel assistance and complimentary registration, rather than funding a separate research project. Its scientific scope spans clinical and public health microbiology, environmental and applied microbial science, and fundamental mechanisms of microbial life. It pairs recognition of fellows’ research with practical support for attending the meeting.
