Description
The Epilepsy Foundation’s fellowship programs support the next generation of epilepsy scientists through research funding, training, and apprenticeship. In partnership with the American Epilepsy Society (AES), the Foundation supports newly independent investigators and clinicians developing research careers. The programs welcome basic, translational, and clinical epilepsy research, with the goal of advancing better treatments and care and helping investigators secure longer-term research support.
The Susan S. Spencer Clinical Research Training Fellowship in Epilepsy specifically fosters careers in patient-oriented research. It is funded by AES, the Epilepsy Foundation, and the American Brain Foundation, in collaboration with the American Academy of Neurology. Together, these opportunities support independent laboratory research and mentored clinical research training within the Foundation’s broader effort to advance therapies from idea to market.
