Description
The FENS/Dana Foundation Brain Awareness Week Grants support public outreach about the brain across Europe. The Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) administers the support on behalf of the Dana Foundation, which has provided an annual grant to FENS for this purpose since 2005. The program helps Brain Awareness Week participants expand their programming and reach broader and more diverse audiences.
Brain Awareness Week is a global campaign to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research, encourage dialogue between researchers and the public, and highlight brain health. Outreach can include workshops, laboratory tours, brain fairs, public discussions, art events, and social media campaigns. Interdisciplinary projects connecting neuroscience with fields such as the arts, law, policy, technology, and psychology are encouraged.
