Summary: Supports master’s, PhD students, and early-career postdocs in Europe for short-term methodological training visits to European neuroscience labs.
The FENS/IBRO-PERC Exchange Fellowships are designed to foster the methodological training and career development of early-career neuroscience researchers in Europe. The program enables master’s and PhD students, as well as postdoctoral fellows (within five years of starting their postdoc), to undertake goal-directed laboratory visits in established European neuroscience labs. The primary aim is to broaden participants’ research skills through exposure to new methodologies and collaborative environments not available at their home institutions, thereby strengthening intra-European research capacity and collaboration.
Fellowships are awarded based on the scientific and training quality of the proposed exchange, the added value to both the applicant and their home lab, the suitability of the candidate, and the feasibility and need for the exchange.
