Description
The South Carolina Arts Commission’s Festivals Grants support arts activities at community-based festivals held in—and benefiting—South Carolina communities. The program serves eligible arts and non-arts nonprofits and units of government. Festivals must have an identifiable theme or focus and take place within a condensed period, such as a celebration or organized series of concerts, plays, films, or performances.
Supported work spans visual, media, performing, literary, and folk and traditional arts. Funding can support arts programming, temporary installations and exhibitions, commissions, artist compensation, arts-related production, marketing, and accessibility services. Special consideration goes to festivals serving communities with limited access to arts programs, services, or resources because of geography, economic conditions, cultural background, socio-political circumstances, disability, age, or other demonstrable factors.
