Description
The South Carolina Arts Commission’s Festivals Grants support community-based festivals that take place in, and have an impact on, South Carolina communities. A festival must bring people together within a condensed period around an identifiable theme or focus. Supported activities may involve visual, media, performing, literary, or folk and traditional arts, with opportunities for the public to engage and participate.
Funding can support arts programming, temporary installations and exhibitions, commissions and licensing of original works, artist and presenter fees, production, promotion, and accessibility services. The commission gives special consideration to festivals serving communities with limited arts programs, services, or resources, and prioritizes projects in its Opportunity Initiative Counties.
