Description
The Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) administers federal funding for projects addressing traffic crashes, injuries, and fatalities across Arizona. Proposals must identify a highway safety problem using current data and explain how planned activities will address it. GOHS prioritizes areas of demonstrated need and funds projects as reimbursable grant agreements.
Program areas include accident investigation, impaired driving, emergency medical services, occupant protection, pedestrian and bicycle safety, and police traffic services. The proposal guide also describes roadway safety and traffic records projects, motorcycle safety projects, and requests addressing distracted driving.
