Description
The Dickinson Area Community Foundation administers annual Field of Interest Program Grants through endowment funds dedicated to particular community needs. The program supports organizations located in or serving Dickinson County and surrounding Michigan and Wisconsin areas. Each fund has its own purpose, ranging from community collaboration and natural-resource enhancement to performing arts, youth programs, and services for veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
Health funds support prevention, primary physical health care, health education, and youth and senior health programs. Other funds help people obtain food or avoid losing their homes. Place-based funds serve the Crystal Falls and Norway areas, while the Civic Improvement Fund supports collaborative projects benefiting Iron Mountain, Kingsford, and Breitung Township. Youth-related funding is available through the Forest Park, Iron Mountain/Kingsford, and Norway Kellogg Youth Funds.
