Description
Primate Conservation, Incorporated (PCI) funds original field research that supports conservation programs for wild primate populations. Its grants help graduate students, qualified conservationists, and primatologists study rare and endangered primates in their natural habitats, with the aim of producing findings that can be used to formulate and implement conservation plans.
PCI prioritizes the least-known and most-endangered species. Projects involving citizens of the country where the primates live are especially welcome, and Asia and West Africa are regions of current interest. Applicants are asked to explain how their research addresses primate conservation, how they will collect evidence, and how results may inform subsequent conservation action.
