The Fields Artist Fellowship, an initiative of the Oregon Community Foundation in partnership with Oregon Humanities, is designed to support Oregon-based artists and culture bearers whose creative and cultural practices address important community issues and drive meaningful social change. The fellowship seeks to advance the careers of artists at pivotal moments, honor their commitment to social impact, and provide robust professional development, networking, and community-building opportunities. Fellows engage in multi-day convenings, reflection conversations, and access technical assistance, learning opportunities, and public relations support. The program embraces an expansive view of artistic and cultural practice, including both tangible and intangible cultural knowledge, and applies a national framework for understanding social change through the arts.
