    Description

The Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research provides initial production funding for short films exploring themes relevant to Ras Al Khaimah and the United Arab Emirates. Al Jazeera Al Hamra is a particular thematic priority. The program supports Arabic- and English-language filmmaking, prioritizing documentaries while also considering narrative films. Community narratives and social issues relevant to the UAE and Gulf region are especially encouraged.

Part of the Foundation’s Arts Grants, the program supports creative expression and cultural exchange through original work reflecting Ras Al Khaimah’s identity, heritage, and contemporary life. Up to two grants are awarded annually through competitive selection. Completed films are showcased at the Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival the following year, connecting production support with public presentation.
