Description
The Fire Management Assistance Grant Program (FMAGP) is a federally funded disaster assistance program administered in Florida by the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) in partnership with FEMA. It provides rapid financial support to state, local, and tribal governments to help mitigate, manage, and control wildfires that threaten to become major disasters. Funding is activated during active, uncontrolled fires on publicly or privately owned forests or grasslands that pose significant threats to lives, property, infrastructure, or watershed areas. The program enables communities to access resources and reimbursement for eligible firefighting and emergency protective costs when immediate action is needed.
