Description
This Horizon Europe Innovation Action supports projects that develop comprehensive, standardized approaches to fire prevention and mitigation for electric vehicles (EVs) in confined areas such as underground parking lots, garages, ferryboats, and depots, including those with and without charging facilities. The call targets the creation of a European EV fire incident database, innovative and affordable fire detection, prevention, and suppression solutions, improved diagnosis and real-time monitoring for early warning, and standardized firefighting protocols. Projects must foster public awareness and transparent communication about EV fire safety, and require meaningful integration of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) expertise to maximize societal impact. International collaboration is encouraged, and alignment with the European Partnership “Towards zero emission road transport” (2ZERO) is expected.
