Description
This funding opportunity from AmeriCorps supports organizations that engage AmeriCorps members in service to address pressing community challenges through evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions. Grants are awarded to eligible organizations to strengthen communities in areas such as education, disaster response, public health, economic opportunity, veterans and military families, and more. AmeriCorps members serve with funded organizations and may receive living allowances and education awards upon successful completion of service.
AmeriCorps prioritizes funding for programs that:
- Serve communities with concentrated poverty, rural, or tribal communities.
- Expand access to youth mental health and substance use recovery services.
- Support veterans, military families, and public safety initiatives.
- Enhance outdoor recreation, disaster mitigation, and workforce pathways.
- Strengthen families and support formerly incarcerated or at-risk youth.
- Demonstrate use of strong or moderate evidence from the AmeriCorps Evidence Exchange.
