Description
This program funds multidisciplinary university research teams to pursue high-impact, basic research that addresses complex scientific and engineering challenges relevant to the Department of Defense (DoD). The initiative aims to foster collaboration across disciplines and institutions, accelerate fundamental discoveries, and develop a technically advanced, defense-aware scientific workforce. Research topics are defined annually and span a wide range of physical, engineering, environmental, and life sciences with national security implications.
