Description
This opportunity provides funding to improve the health of medically underserved communities and populations by supporting the delivery of comprehensive, high-quality preventive and primary health care services across the United States and its territories. The program funds organizations to operate health centers in designated service areas, with specific areas available for competition announced in the Service Area Announcement Table (SAAT). Additional service areas may be announced throughout the year if awarded health centers cannot continue providing services. The goal is to strengthen the health care safety net and increase access for vulnerable populations.
