Description
This program funds the delivery of comprehensive, high-quality preventive and primary health care services to medically underserved communities and populations across the United States and its territories. Grants are awarded through a competitive process to organizations able to serve specific geographic service areas, as announced in the Service Area Announcement Table (SAAT). The goal is to improve access to health care for vulnerable populations by supporting health centers that provide essential services. Additional service areas may be announced throughout the year if a funded health center cannot continue to provide services.
