This program provides funding to improve the health of medically underserved communities and populations by supporting the delivery of comprehensive, high-quality preventive and primary health care services. Grants are awarded to eligible organizations to operate health centers in designated service areas, as identified annually in the Service Area Announcement Table (SAAT). Additional service areas may be announced throughout the year if existing health centers cannot continue their services.
