Description
Fisher Explorer Grants support currently enrolled Brandeis University seniors undertaking creative projects during the academic year’s fall and spring semesters. Made possible by Herbert, Sandra ('56) and Gail Fisher ('88), the program funds work in one or more of the university’s three Creative Arts departments: Fine Arts, Music and Theater Arts. Students majoring in these areas receive funding priority, while seniors in other majors may also apply for creative arts projects.
The grants help cover practical project costs, including supplies, travel, research materials and contributions from outside artists. Selection considers project quality and feasibility through the project summary and budget justification, together with faculty approval. Funding is tied to expenses and may complement another grant by covering costs that the other funding source cannot cover.
