Description
The Fisheries Restoration Grant Program (FRGP) is a competitive annual grant program administered by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Established in 1981, FRGP aims to recover and conserve populations of wild salmon and steelhead trout by funding projects that restore, enhance, or protect anadromous salmonid habitat throughout California’s coastal watersheds. Eligible projects may include process-based habitat restoration, effectiveness monitoring, status monitoring, research, outreach, and activities that directly support salmonid recovery and conservation goals.
