Description
The Flash Grant program provides rapid, targeted funding to catalyze early-stage, innovative life sciences research ideas in North Carolina. It is designed to help researchers obtain proof-of-concept or feasibility data for disruptive technologies, or to conduct final experiments needed to move a project into translational development. The FY27 cycles focus on New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), including human-derived organoids, organ-on-a-chip systems, microphysiological platforms, and other novel model systems that study disease mechanisms or assess safety, efficacy, and toxicity for human health. Projects should have clear commercial potential and be achievable within a short, focused timeframe.
