Description
Flexible Funds from the Division of International Affairs at Freie Universität Berlin provide support for the establishment and strengthening of international research and teaching collaborations. The program offers seed funding for new or expanding partnerships, short-term mobility for researchers, and additional support for conferences at the university that are primarily funded by third-party sources. The aim is to advance the university’s internationalization strategy by enabling new contacts, collaborative projects, and improved international services.
Eligible activities include:
- Short-term research or teaching stays abroad for FUB researchers to initiate or expand international partnerships.
- Visits by international guests to FUB as part of sustainable partnerships.
- Seed funding for collaborative research or teaching projects.
- Projects to improve international services.
- Top-up funding for conferences at FUB (up to €5,000) when at least 60% of costs are covered by third-party funding.
