Description
This funding opportunity, administered by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) under UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), supports doctoral training consortia focused on advancing the UK’s capacity in multilingual research and language-grounded disciplines. The goal is to address national skills gaps in advanced communication, translation, and cultural intelligence, while promoting innovation, global connections, and social cohesion. The scheme funds the delivery of world-class doctoral training, encourages interdisciplinary research, and supports the inclusion of underrepresented groups in the research community. Awards are made to consortia led by eligible UK higher education institutions (HEIs), working in partnership with other HEIs and at least one non-academic partner.
