Description
This program funds the preservation and revitalization of folk and traditional arts throughout California. The California Arts Council (CAC) awards a major grant to one or more Administering Organizations (AOs), who then regrant funds to individual artists, culture bearers, organizations, and Tribal Nations. The program aims to sustain cultural legacies and ensure the vibrancy of diverse art forms rooted in community heritage, with a strong emphasis on equity, accessibility, and intergenerational knowledge transfer. Support is provided for hands-on learning, mentorship, workshops, performances, and community engagement activities.
