Description
The Alabama State Council on the Arts supports projects that identify, preserve, or present Alabama folk traditions. Folklife activities may bring traditions before audiences through festivals, performances, and exhibitions, or record them through field surveys and documentation. Documentation may take the form of film, video, photography recordings, radio, or publications.
The program is part of the council’s folklife work, which also includes the Alabama Center for Traditional Culture. Applicants seeking support for these activities use the council’s Project Grant guidelines.
