Description
The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) Food Assistance program offers Resiliency Grants annually to hunger relief organizations across Washington, including organizations that do not participate in its core Food Assistance programs. Funded by the Washington State General Fund, the competitive grants support projects that bring immediate benefit to communities. The Resiliency Grants and Initiatives Committee helps inform the program’s design.
Projects target collaboration that strengthens local hunger relief networks, increased client access to food and reduced barriers, and responses to organizational or community needs. WSDA prioritizes flexible funding for needs organizations identify in their communities, access to nutritious food, and distribution of funding across the state. Food Assistance also administers Farm to Community initiatives, including Farm to Food Pantry.
