Description
Berrien Community Foundation’s For Good Grants support organizations serving communities in Berrien County, Michigan. The program offers Major and Minor grants for community work, with a shorter, simpler application for smaller requests. Grants are reviewed in arts, children, community improvement and special needs, education, environment, health, seniors, and youth leadership and development.
The foundation favors imaginative, innovative programs that address critical local needs, focus on prevention, and can continue without ongoing foundation support. It also values collaboration, community-building, volunteer involvement, and projects that leverage other funding or resources. Past awards have supported nursing visits for cancer patients, accessible library entrances and ramps, public recreation spaces, youth nutrition education, arts programming, and coaching for BIPOC entrepreneurs.
