Description
The Foreign Study Supplements in Taiwan program enables graduate students at the University of British Columbia, in the natural sciences and engineering, to undertake short-term research placements in Taiwan. The initiative is designed to immerse students in a research laboratory environment, offering direct exposure to Taiwanese science and engineering, and fostering international relationships that can lead to future collaborations. The program is a partnership between UBC, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the Ministry of Science and Technology in Taiwan, and National Tsing Hua University. Participants receive comprehensive support, including orientation, language courses, and assistance with university placements.
