Description
The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) facilitates Forest Collaborative Grants in partnership with the Oregon Department of Forestry as part of the state’s Federal Forest Restoration Program. The program seeks to increase the number, acreage, and complexity of collaboratively planned restoration projects on federal forest lands in Oregon, while improving the pace, scale, and quality of restoration.
Grants support three kinds of work: building or updating a collaborative’s governance structure; developing, expanding, or advancing Zones of Agreement among participants with differing perspectives; and coordinating collective action among groups that share a restoration goal. These activities are intended to help collaboratives develop durable agreements, reduce conflict, restore forest ecological function, and strengthen landscape resilience.
