Description
FORESTPathways is the first joint call of the European FOREST Partnership. It supports transnational research and innovation intended to help make the forest-based sector resilient, knowledge-intensive and a contributor to a sustainable, circular bioeconomy. Formas, the Swedish Energy Agency and Vinnova provide funding for organisations operating in Sweden.
The partnership-wide call covers climate-resilient forest systems; adaptive and multifunctional forest management; timber and innovative wood-based products; and forest value chains, markets and governance. Swedish funding is available only for the latter two topics. Projects may develop knowledge and solutions related to wood-based materials and products or examine how value chains, markets and governance shape the forest sector.
