Description
Foster Forward runs a statewide program for young people ages 14–24 as part of Real Skills for Youth, a PrepareRI initiative supported by Rhode Island’s Governor’s Workforce Board. Paid, hands-on placements with local employers combine classroom learning with career exploration, coaching, and mentorship from supervisors and program staff. Individualized support helps participants navigate challenges and stay on track.
Participants can explore healthcare, hospitality and tourism, retail and logistics, and the arts. The program aims to build workplace skills and confidence while helping young people consider their education and career goals.
