    Description

The Fotheringham Research Fellowship supports research across all aspects of obstetrics and gynaecology and related disciplines. Offered by RANZCOG and administered through its Women’s Health Foundation, it provides research-only funding for early-career Fellows, members seeking Fellowship and eligible advanced FRANZCOG trainees. Its remit covers the specialty broadly rather than a single research topic.

The fellowship is funded by the Fotheringham Trust, established in 1957 through gifts from the late Mrs May H Fotheringham of South Australia. Research must be undertaken in a hospital, university department or research institute. The fellowship can be held outside Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand if the recipient intends to return to one of these countries.
