Description
Four County Community Foundation administers these two funds to support charitable activities responding to current and emerging local needs. Four County Community Funds serve nonprofit organizations, public schools, and governmental agencies across the Foundation’s service area. Shelby Community Funds focus on charitable purposes within the Shelby Community and northern Macomb County.
The Foundation supports progressive ideas in education, health, and community, including youth and adult programs. Its priorities include projects addressing needs not adequately served by existing resources, encouraging additional funding and community resources, fostering cooperation between organizations, and directly benefiting the service area. Grant review committees assess applications and recommend awards to the Board of Trustees for final approval.
