Description
The Fox Cares Foundation Fund at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region supports nonprofits providing resources to help people overcome challenges in communities served by Fox Communities Credit Union. Its three priorities are homelessness, hunger and food insecurity, and the arts.
Homelessness funding supports emergency shelters, transitional housing with counseling, case worker assistance and education, and other services for people experiencing homelessness. Food security priorities include systems that improve food access, innovative solutions, culturally specific or difficult-to-secure foods, mobile pantries, and healthy cooking education. Arts funding emphasizes measurable benefits for people facing barriers to participation, engagement of underrepresented populations, children’s and young adults’ learning, and lasting community building. Projects that others in the community can also experience are particularly compelling.
