Description
The Franco-German Cultural Fund supports cultural cooperation initiatives in third countries, bringing together the French and German diplomatic and cultural networks in close collaboration with local cultural actors. Established in 2003 to mark the 40th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty, it promotes joint cultural work beyond France and Germany.
The Fund covers architecture, visual arts and photography, cinema, digital creation, debating ideas, books, crafts and design, and performing arts and music. It is funded equally by the French and German sides. The Institut français has managed the French side since 2011.
