The Franco-German Cultural Fund supports collaborative cultural initiatives carried out in third countries by French and German diplomatic and cultural networks. Its aim is to foster innovative projects that leverage French-German expertise to address contemporary cultural and societal challenges, promote dialogue, and encourage creativity and the exchange of ideas internationally. The fund welcomes projects across a broad spectrum of artistic and cultural disciplines, including architecture, visual arts, cinema, digital creation, literature, crafts, design, performing arts, music, and debating ideas.
For the upcoming cycle, the thematic focus is on the fight against disinformation and the role of culture in imagining contemporary responses. Projects should demonstrate how culture can help understand, counter, or creatively engage with disinformation, while promoting open, inclusive, and informed societies.
